What's Your Sign?

A dime is a dime but toss it in the air and you can expect it to come down heads or tails. Like the coin, astrological signs have two sides. As you scroll down to find yours, be kind to your self; try not to look at the disempowering or shadow side as the bad qualities or the empowering side as the good qualities. Remember, it’s a process. We all waver back and forth until we completely exhaust our disempowering traits. So the experience of being disempowered is a good thing, right? The ego dissolves, we learn humility, and we are transformed.

Often a disempowering trait will heal (which means we’ve had a lot of experience with it!), and in the healing process you learn compassion and true empathy, and you are now ready to assist and empower others. An interesting way to work with these archetypes is to realize that we are more than just our Sun sign. In a birth chart there are twelve houses and each of the signs will be in our charts. So when you find your self saying, “I don’t get along with (pick a sign),” think about it. What you’re really saying is, “I don’t get along with a part of my self.” It is said that when we integrate our Sun, Moon, and Ascendant (rising sign) then fortune is ours. If you know your Moon and Ascendant, be sure to read those too.
